●The Asahi Glass Foundation
The Asahi Glass Foundation was originally established as the Asahi Foundation for Chemical Industry Promotion in 1933, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of AGC Inc. Today, the foundation is mainly engaged in two activities: funding research in innovative scientific and technological fields, and awarding the Blue Planet Prize to people or organizations that make significant contributions to solving environmental problems.
By merging the Asahi Glass Scholarship Foundation on March 1, 2018, the Foundation is now operating the scholarship program.
The Asahi Glass Scholarship Foundation transferred the scholarship project to the Asahi Glass Foundation on March 1, 2018 and dissolted on the same day.

Providing Support to High School and University Students in Thailand and Indonesia
●The Asahi Glass Thailand Foundation and the Asahi Glass Indonesia Foundation
The Asahi Glass Company marked its 75th anniversary by establishing the Asahi Glass Thailand Foundation and the Asahi Glass Indonesia Foundation. Asahi Glass has a long history of conducting business in Thailand and Indonesia, and currently maintains large-scale operations in both countries. From the time of their establishment, the two foundations were primarily involved in providing assistance to Thai and Indonesian students for study abroad in Japan. In 1990, however, in consideration of the steep appreciation of the yen, those activities were transferred to the Asahi Glass Scholarship Foundation. At present, the Asahi Glass Thailand Foundation and the Asahi Glass Indonesia Foundation are mainly devoted to providing scholarships to high school and university students in their respective countries.
